The leading edge of our water softener is the original made in USA Clack Automatic Digital control head.Clack’s WS1 Automatic valve is a state of the art control head designed for residential and commercial applications requiring flow rates up to 27 GPM (6.1 M3/hr). It has a backwash ability capable of servicing up to 22″ diameter tanks.
The valve acts as a primary centre that directs and regulates all cycles of water softening or filtration. It can be set to perform down flow regeneration or simply backwash and rinse.
The valve comes in different program versions and is controlled by a solid state microprocessor with front panel setting and screen display.
The WS1 has 9 injector sizes to choose from for different draw rates.

What This System Does
The Clack Water Softener reduces hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium from water through the ion exchange process.

How It Works
1. Hard Water Enters the System: Incoming water passes through the softener vessel containing high-capacity ion exchange resin.
2. Ion Exchange Process: The resin attracts calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness and exchanges them with sodium ions.
3. Softened Water Supply: The treated water flows through the building’s distribution system for residential, commercial, or industrial use.
4. Automatic Regeneration” When the resin reaches its operating capacity, the Clack WS1 Automatic Digital Control Valve starts the regeneration cycle.
During regeneration, the system performs:
- Backwash
- Brine draw
- Slow rinse
- Fast rinse
- Resin restoration
After regeneration, the system returns automatically to normal operation.
