How It Works
The Toray TM820V-400 RO Membrane operates using reverse osmosis technology to separate dissolved salts and impurities from seawater and high salinity feedwater. Pressurised feedwater passes through the semi-permeable membrane layer, allowing treated water molecules to pass while retaining concentrated dissolved substances. The membrane system produces permeate and concentrate streams during operation. The permeate provides treated water, while the concentrate stream carries rejected salts and dissolved materials away from the membrane surface. Membrane performance depends on feedwater quality, operating pressure, temperature, recovery rate, and pretreatment conditions. Proper system design helps reduce scaling and membrane fouling during continuous operation.
